Thrilling Crime and Mystery Novel
The Council of Justice is a fast-paced early twentieth-century thriller and the second installment in the “Four Just Men” series. The novel continues the exploits of a secretive group of wealthy vigilantes who take justice into their own hands, punishing criminals who have evaded the law. Operating outside conventional authority, the Just Men rely on intellect, strategy, and ruthlessness to enforce their own moral code.
In this installment, they confront a dangerous anarchist organization known as the Red Hundred, led by the enigmatic and persuasive Woman of Gratz. As the group plots acts of terror against London, the Just Men move to dismantle the conspiracy through calculated assassinations and daring interventions.
However, the mission takes a dramatic turn when one of the Just Men, Manfred, is captured and sentenced to death. His calm demeanor in the face of execution hints at hidden plans and deepens the suspense. Blending intrigue, moral ambiguity, and relentless action, the novel explores justice beyond the limits of the law while maintaining a gripping narrative pace.
