In The Seven Dials Mystery, guests at Chimneys play a prank on another guest who is known for sleeping late. Eight alarm clocks are set and hidden in his room. The prank goes horribly wrong when the man fails to wake up and is found dead. The cause of death is thought to be an accidental overdose of a sedative, but that doesn’t explain why there are now only seven alarm clocks in the bedroom.
Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent decides to investigate and discovers a secretive organization, Seven Dials, which becomes the focus of the investigation. Bundle, joined by Scotland Yard’s Superintendent Battle, uncovers a disturbing plot involving espionage and stealing secret formulas for weaponry. Together, the two follow the evidence to solve the case.
